Cars and the automotive industry have been a life-long passion for Francis. When the Zhuhai International Circuit opened, he embarked on his journey in motorsports. Since his first race in 2002, Francis has participated in hundreds of races across numerous different international racing series in a variety of cars ranging from Formula 3, to touring and GT cars.

Having entered a variety of different series such as the Asian Supercar Challenge, the Creventic 24 Hour Endurance Series, as well as marquee events such as the world-famous 24 Hours of Spa and Macau Grand Prix, Francis has achieved notable success in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia series, in which he has participated since 2010.

Embarking on his 11th season in PCCA in 2023, Francis is aiming to claim his first Pro-Am Championship, having finished the runner-up five times, always narrowly missing out on the top position.  Francis has won PCCA races in each of the seasons that he has participated.

This year will also see Francis return to the world-famous Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium to tackle the gruelling 24 Hours of Spa in the brand-new Porsche 992 GT3 ‘R’, driving with longtime teammate John Shen as well as Benny Simonsen of Denmark and enduro star Mathias Beche from Switzerland.  They will be aiming to lift the highly competitive Pro-Am trophy in that race.
